Soolking, known under the stage name of MC Sool until 2013, whose real name is Abderraouf Derradji (in Arabic: عبد الرؤوف دراجي), born December 10, 1989 in El Hammamet, in the wilaya of Algiers, is a rapper , Algerian singer and dancer.
Soolking was born on December 10, 1989 in Baïnem, and grew up in Staoueli. Son of a drummer father, he started playing music at a very young age. He has two brothers and a sister. He joined a rock group then became passionate about dancing.
Arrived in France in 20085, he did not manage to find a place for himself in the dance world.
Back in Algeria, he joined the Algerian rap group Africa Jungle with which he released two albums: Ched Rohek and Eclipse.
Spotted by a Marseille producer, he returned to France and has lived there since 2014. He embarked on a solo career in 2016.
In 2017, Soolking signed on the Marseillais label Hyper Focal which produced his first hit with rapper Alonzo (“TRW”) and subsequently distinguished himself in the web series (Les Déguns) with the title (“Mi amigo”) alongside by Karim, Nono and Soprano, a series also produced by Hyper Focal.
In 2018, Soolking found success in France with the titles Milano, then Guérilla, before experiencing international success with the single Dalida, which was ranked in Deezer's top 10 worldwide when it was released. Named in homage to the singer Dalida, Soolking takes up the chorus of the song Paroles ... Paroles ... of the singer.
